I hate fireworks upsetting all animals and think they are unnecessary and silent ones should be produced instead.

Tracey Altman (LONDON, 2020-10-21)

#410

It is unfair on animals for them to be subjected to the loud bangs made by fireworks. Maybe with Bonfire night and New year excepted, the use of fireworks should be a criminal offence at all other times.

Mick Whittaker (Stockport, 2020-10-21)

#414

I have pets and I know how traumatic fireworks can be for them

Frances Jackson (Brighton, 2020-10-21)

#416

I have 2 dogs who are very afraid of the ‘screams’ of fireworks.

Duncan Smith (Braemar, 2020-10-21)

#418

Fireworks are very frightening for farm wild and domestic animals

Vicky Goodfellow (Livingston, 2020-10-21)

#428

Fireworks are pointless. Humans who use them are selfish. The fear and trauma they cause to all animals is totally unacceptable. Ask most people why November 5th is celebrated, they wouldn’t know. They are ignorant of the history of the attempted assignation of James 1st by blowing up parliament. But even if they did know, that date has little to do with fireworks these days as people use them all year round.

Susan Brooks (Colchester, 2020-10-21)

#430

I have 3 dogs and 1 cat who are so distressed with fireworks to the point that I have to put them into a cold bath and even this only helps a fraction.

Nicole Bowles (KILGETTY, 2020-10-21)

#432

Many animals are terrified of fireworks

Lesley Milne (London, 2020-10-21)

#438

My dogs, beagle and rott/lab, are Always stressed during these times. Stressed to the point of running to a dark small corner of the house, peeing themselves, and shaking in fear.

Please help end this needless time.

David Morris (Elk Grove Village, 2020-10-21)

#440

I am sick to death of Bonfire Night stretching over weeks, when my animals are unable to venture outside, and scared to death in their own home! I think it it time to ban them from public sale, and only allow them on one night a year at an organised event with Council permission.

Patricia Sullivan (Neston, 2020-10-21)

#441

I do now believe the days of fireworks should be behind us, there is too much stress caused by the noise, too much disruption to wildlife & humans alike & too many injuries have been caused to human & animals alike (animals have died in fires & abused by irresponsible kids & adults alike - these days should be gone now I'm afraid..

Steve Agabeg (Banstead, 2020-10-21)

#445

I agree that this is totally inappropriate.

Ann Lynn (Newark Notts., 2020-10-21)

#447

To save animals from being scared and hurting themselves.

Tanya Traill (Chelmsford, 2020-10-21)

#448

I have owned dogs who were terrified of the noise and ponies and horses who have been equally terrified and have run into fencing. Please resite elsewhere !

Liz Lynch (Bower Hinton Martock, 2020-10-21)

#449

Fireworks distress and kill animals

Gillian Mason (Southampton, 2020-10-21)

Terrifying for animals.

Caroline Kinner (Epsom, 2020-10-21)

#453

We Must Be The Conashois Stewards Of All Wildlife... And Proctet Them From Frivolous Harm...

Joel Fairchild (Fort Lauderdale, 2020-10-21)

#456

i’m signing because Fireworks cause great stress to animals.

Michael Crow (Durham, 2020-10-21)

#458

This must be illegal

William Turner (North Shields, 2020-10-21)

#463

They are so unnecessary and any decent person would not want them when they cause animals so much distress.

Susan Dean (Preston, 2020-10-21)

#466

As somebody who has PTSD, I find it difficult enough to deal with fireworks going off without any warning. Animals don't have any warning of intention, and therefore are even more distressed.

Chris Harrison (Birmingham, 2020-10-21)

#467

I'm signing because I have long been concerned about the failure to consider animal welfare in licensing firework displays. This site is clearly NOT a good place for such a display.

John LENNARD (Cambridge, 2020-10-21)

#470

Fireworks should not be near any livestock

Wendy Brown (Potters Bar, 2020-10-21)

#482

Terrifying animals is cruel & unconscionable. Please stop these mindless shameful fireworks

Sarah Hollington (London, 2020-10-21)

#483

With the ongoing pandemic I would have thought that firework displays would be cancelled.

Eric Buckley (Horncastle, 2020-10-21)

#484

Wesley boot sale field is a totally inappropriate place to stage a firework display. Far too many animals nearby.

Clare Watts (Banbury, 2020-10-21)

#485

The animals will be frightened by the fireworks and get gery distressed

Laraine Berry (Wellingborough, 2020-10-21)

#486

Why should animals be frightened at this time every year just to satisfy humans' desire for what passes as entertainment?

Susan Ainsworth (Wakefield, 2020-10-21)

#488

They should only be sold on the day to organised events

June Todd (KIRKCALDY, 2020-10-21)

#492

My pets are terrified, move them to a different place.

Andrew Wells (Wigan, 2020-10-21)

#497

Animals suffer hugely dusting firework displays. These displays can cause much suffering and they are not necessary. The location is totally wrong for this display.

Hilary Williams (Dereham, 2020-10-21)

#501

These displays brings misery to more people than it does joy.
Please think of the distress it will cause.

Edwina Will (London, 2020-10-21)

#502

Animals deserve not to be terrified

Christine Ann Hambrook (Oakham, 2020-10-21)

#503

Animals need protecting not traumatising. Silent fireworks are used by some countries.

Maureen Norton (Wigan, 2020-10-21)

#507

I'm signing because it's clearly an inappropriate location and these events must be regulated and appropriate measures taken into consideration especially during these COVID times.

peter Spalding (Leatherhead, 2020-10-21)

#510

I hate fireworks and what they do to animals.

anne dorrans (glasgow, 2020-10-21)

#511

Fireworks are dangerous even in a "controlled event". The noise is extremely loud for humans so imagine what it is like for all animals who have no idea what is going on, it will be terrifying.

Sharon Mitchell (Shipley, 2020-10-21)

#517

I love animals and I hate fireworks!!noisy banging scaring the poor horses!

Deborah Lyall (Stanley, 2020-10-21)

#520

Because this needs to moved.

Michael Murray (Bristol, 2020-10-21)

#521

I care about wild life

Valerie Wood (Stockport, 2020-10-21)

#524

I'm fed up of fireworks they are a waste of resources and frighten poor animals

Sonia parkes (Bilston, 2020-10-21)

#525

Farms, livestock and domestic animals shouldn't be subjected to this noise, especially pregnant mares.

Richard Myers (Swanley, 2020-10-21)

#527

It's important to protect animals and wildlife against fireworks and bonfires

Jacqueline Willmott (SWANSEA, 2020-10-21)

#528

Animals are absolutely terrified by fireworks.
The thought of pregnant mares risking losing their unborn foals due to human entertainment isn’t unforgivable and heartbreaking.

Nicola Bennison (Widnes, 2020-10-21)

#531

I'm the owner of a dog that has to shake, salivate and vomit from October to January because of lack of thought about use of fireworks and their effect on pets and livestock.
If someone invented fireworks today, they would be banned from production, other than in very specific circumstances.

Rod Stapley (Gateshead, 2020-10-21)

#533

It is wrong, full stop to do this around where animals are. I believe all fireworks should be banned, & only done at organised displays. They should not be done near peoples homes or near livestock. Every year I am on pins, worrying about my cat with the fireworks going off.

Lisa Hayes (Manchester, 2020-10-21)

#534

Fireworks are totally unnecessary and are extremely disruptive.

Biba Carroll (Leeds, 2020-10-21)

#535

Holding 2 nights of loud fireworks in the midst of stabled animals, who will be terrified & have nowhere to escape to, is not my idea of an enjoyable evening.
It needs to be rethought or preferably banned.

Jackie Melville (Stoke-on-trent, 2020-10-21)

#536

Animals matter!!!!!!!!

Hazel Thompson (Durham, 2020-10-21)

#537

Fireworks are fun when your ten but when you grow up and understand how much pain and anguish they cause to people and animals then you realise that they are just unnecessary.

Matthew Langton (Portsmouth, 2020-10-21)

#538

There should neca more suitable place for a Firework Extravaganza away from animals

Sonia Hargreaves (Daventry, 2020-10-21)

#542

I hate bombs and missiles in war...so why shall we have that in a time of "peace"? (If it is...) A large number of people don´t like this and animals have never choose this. Use this money for homeless or people in need! The smoke from these bombs is a bad pollution!

Hans Müller (Belfast, 2020-10-21)

#544

Modern fireworks are far to noisy and dangerous . Frightening the kids to bits never mind the animals.

Jack Mason (Rochdale, 2020-10-21)

#545

Absolutely agree with you. It should without doubt be stopped. There is no regard shown for the terror this brings to all animals, livestock and household pets.

JILL STROUD (Marston Moretaine, 2020-10-21)

#548

I’m signing because I do not think firework displays should not be arranged near livestock

Joanne Burvill (Norwich, 2020-10-21)

#557

It’s cruel. Have consideration for animals. Unnecessary simply relocate the event

Virginia Spence (Cleckheaton, 2020-10-21)

#559

We as humans need to protect the animals who cannot protect or speak for themselves. Fireworks can be detrimental to an animal. Please put a stop to this.

Lori Myers (Brevard, 2020-10-21)

#566

This is an unnecessary event especially in this day and age when there are a lot more important things to be considered.

Patricia Smith (Uxbridge, 2020-10-21)

#567

There is absolutely no need for this in the current climate or ever!! Ban fireworks!!

Deborah Scully (Gateshead, 2020-10-21)

#568

People need to be made more aware of the trauma fireworks cause.

Lesley Taylor (Albury, 2020-10-21)

#569

I have animals and I know how it upsets them when the bangers go off around my house

Irene O'Brien (Lincoln, 2020-10-21)

#570

I think these rules should be introduced country wide.

Fiona Sutherland (INVERNESS, 2020-10-21)

#578

Many animals are distressed from fireworks and I have experience the fear and terror of animals affected by these. Fireworks should only be allowed on one night and between a few hours.

Sarah Chappell (Rotherham, 2020-10-21)

#581

barbaric for a animals due to the unforgivable noise which will terrify them

gregory page (LANCING, 2020-10-21)

#583

Firework noise near livestock is irresponsible

June Adamson (Gillingham, 2020-10-21)

#590

We must consider wildlife and the fact that there is also a stable and a farm so close to where the firework display is to take place beggars belief. This will scare the animals who will have no idea of what is going on. Please consider them and do not allow this to go ahead

Pamela Rowland-Pearce (Nottingham, 2020-10-21)

#593

It is completely irresponsible holding a firework display of this magnitude near farmland and livestock. Stray burning bits can land either on outside animals or wooden farm buildings. Firework debris will be left in fields as a hazard for animals both wild and farm. There could be local pets and humans (especially those with either mental illness or PTSD) who are scared to death of the noise and smell of fireworks. I enjoy fireworks but they must be used responsibly. Is this event regulated in any way? Has a license been obtained? Please consider moving to an isolated area which is not near a residential area or farmland.

Anne Russell (Manchester, 2020-10-21)

#596

I think fireworks should only be used on one night a year by licenced events.

Barry Herrick (Nottingham, 2020-10-21)

#599

I have both dogs and birds and both find it difficult coping with fireworks. They also cause addled eggs in my breeding birds

Kevin Batey (Newcastle upon Tyne, 2020-10-21)
