Loss of car parking, yet again, will inhibit customers from shopping in Morley as the regular bus service is inadequate. We need to bring people into our area not have then turn away due to parking not being available.Janet Tordoff (Wakefield, 2021-11-27)

I use that car park regularly. As do lots of other people.
The town centre would loose a lot of customers of this goes.
Leave it alone.

We don’t need a play area there we need the free parking for the town centre and market there is a park no more than 200 meters walk away also where would people park to use the play area because most people go know where with out there cars now a daysLynette poulter (Morley, 2021-11-27)
#246
Because I object changing the car park behind Morley Market to a play area, Morley has a big enough park and it will deter people outside of Morley to shop in the town if parking is limited. The Town is dying fast enough as it is without more help from Leeds and Morley councilRita Robinson (Leeds, 2021-11-27)
#247
The free parking in Morley is vital to its ongoing success. Without it, people will choose to go to the larger supermarkets instead. Independent traders rely on visitors. And visitors rely on good, free, parking.Zita MacDonald (Leeds, 2021-11-27)
#249
We need more parking space around town but if we have to pay for them, I fear locals will go elsewhere to shop i.e White RoseMargaret Tattersfield (Leeds, 2021-11-27)
#250
We need the free parking in the town centre and for the market. It brings in trade , do you actually want Morley to be a ghost town ? We don't need another park where teenagers can drink and get highPaula Wilby (Morley, 2021-11-27)
#252
We need the extra parking to help the town and shops revieve trade and footfall. Removing car parks stops people from going to certain shops.Becky Fawcett (Leeds, 2021-11-27)

I believe the area doe not need an outside play area the park is round the corner. Where will people park for this and the shopping. More residential streets clogged up with carsClaire Gilbeet (Leeds, 2021-11-27)
#258
Morley struggles at keeping people going in to shop, without you putting parking costs in place. It will end up with the market and independent retailers closing, they are already strugglingSusan Dyas (Leeds, 2021-11-27)

A planning application has been approved for another 450 houses in Churwell and this will have a knock on effect to the increase demand for parking in Morley.Marie Wilson (Morley, 2021-11-27)

I am signing because as I am disabled and live at Morley bottems and can no longer get a bus up to Morley and have to drive and if they start taking away car parks I will not be able to shop in Morley and this goes for a lot of disabled and elderly peopleSamantha Waugh (Morley, 2021-11-28)
#278
It’s the closest car park to the market, this just means even less people will bother with the market & town centre shops, it’s already had a knock due to new road layout & congestion it’s caused up corporation st. God knows which lunatic thought of cutting of half the access to Morley with that road layout.Newell Elaine (Leeds, 2021-11-28)
#279
We need parking for people coming into the town to support local businesses, Otherwise Morley trade will be non existent.Jo Poulter (Leeds, 2021-11-28)

You need parking for the marketDaryl abbott (Leeds, 2021-11-28)
#284
We have enough green space & parks in Morley. Parking is awful in Morley town centre. Shops will lose business to the White Rose where there is plenty of free parking. We need to introduce two-hour restricted free parking to stop people from parking all day. This green agenda has to stop. Queen street at Morley bottoms needs reopening too. Just close from 7 pm until 7 am.Stephen Broadhead (Leeds, 2021-11-28)
#286
It’s helpful for the staff and public and brings service to the businessesAmy Galea (Leeds, 2021-11-28)
#287
I’m signing because closing this car park will kill the market. Public transport is not fit for purpose at the moment. You should be developing the green space at top cliff farm. not building sheds on it .Paul Broadbent (Leeds, 2021-11-28)

#292
The elderly, and disabled drivers need more accessible parking spaces not less there are not enough parking spaces around Morley anyway but taking away a Carpark could mean the loss of business for local traders when in today’s climate Morley needs as much trade as possible not customers going elsewhere to shopJackie Banks (Leeds, 2021-11-29)
#293
I’m live in Morley and agree that there needs to be a free car park close to the centre.Lynn Cunningham (Leeds, 2021-11-29)
#294
We need to retain the car parks in Morley, they are used daily. Invest in the current green space that we have, we don’t need more adding, especially on that car park which will only attract yobs.Rachel Stenhouse (Morley, 2021-11-29)

My business will be severely impacted by this proposalMr Richards (Cleckheaton, 2021-11-29)

The market car park is needed by people who do not live in Morley and need to travel their by car. We have already lost the old college car park so parking is even more difficult.Caroline Scarth (East Ardsley, 2021-11-29)
#300
There are already parks in Morley, it needs car parks to encourage people to shop in Morley, some people have already been put off by closing access through Morley Bottoms. It’s hard enough to park in Morley as it is. People can use the park that is 5 min further on around the corner.T Haigh (Morley, Leeds, 2021-11-29)

I'm signing because this free carpark is essentially used to go to the market and surrounding shops our family love to go to Morley using the car parkJoanna Barnes (Leeds, 2021-11-30)

If you want people to shop in Morley then encourage them to come by keeping the car park.Dympna Hewson (Leeds, 2021-12-02)
#308
The town needs to maintain sufficient parking for residents and visitors if local businesses are to survive. There is a park with ample area for children to play along with playground. To remove the option to park will reduce footfall on Morley high street at a time when the market and local businesses need customers more than ever.Rachel Benson (Leeds, 2021-12-03)
#309
We do not need another park in Morley but we do need the parking spaces. Morrison’s car park is too far for the elderly to walk from to get to the market and the market needs customers to survive.Cathrine Patrick (Leeds, 2021-12-03)
#310
We already have Scatchard Park in Morley and if we lose this carpark the market will lose valuable trade and it will end up closing down. Stop this stupid idea it will kill our town and not only that my grandad Jack Sparham helped build this valuable town carpark .Jacqueline Hartley (Leeds, 2021-12-04)

The independent stores need parking to entice people from outside of Morley into the town and we have a lot of really good parks around the town already, with Scratcherd and Dartmouth not far from the proposed site.Fliss Lee (Leeds, 2021-12-18)
#318
Parking is already problematic, getting worse over the years due to Morley expanding, taking that parking away will cause people to either not come to Morley over time reducung trade, it's already been made difficult to drive through with blocking Morley bottoms and it will cause traffic to divert further to our backstreets to find spaces or cut through, the option then would either be residents struggle to get parked outside their homes or give out resident permits again putting people off coming to Morley as there's reduced parking or diverting traffic further into other areas of Morley to get parked up. I'm not sure on the rules of this particular car park but is there a possibility it gets used for the school run hours, parking is not always fully available outside most schools from what I see posted online, having use of these carparks in Morley makes it safer and convenient for road users and pedestrians.Chelsea Barber (Leeds, 2021-12-27)
