I live in the area and I will be very badly affected by those populistic decisionsugo macri (london, 2021-02-07)
#205
I am resident just off the LTN in Lee and that has much higher level of traffic on my road leading to much higher levels of pollution. This has been a disaster.Julie Reason (London, 2021-02-07)
#212
I strongly oppose the closure of the roads in Westcombe Park and Maze Hill.Laura Lupo (London, 2021-02-07)
#213
The pollution on the main route through greenwich is a serious issue that point scoring politicians don’t care about and many people live on these roads. It’s also a serious issue for emergency vehicles getting stuckMatthew Anderson (London, 2021-02-07)
#214
I am local and this is a stupid idea which will make traffic on the roads drivers or forced out onto even worse. I'm totally fed up with Greenwich council dictating what they 'think' residents should like or do. They never listen or really actually care what we need. This is the worst scheme yet!Kate Downs (London, 2021-02-07)
#215
I'm signing because I live and work in the area and for various reasons need to drive.Linda Kampjes (London, 2021-02-07)
#218
I am a resident in the area and whilst I will complete the consultation the residents voice does not seem to have been listened to in the other LTZ introduced by Greenwich and Lewisham councils.Small local businesses that rely on being able to move and deliver around the area are being made unviable.
Susan Caldwell (London, 2021-02-07)
#219
Wholeheartedly agree with this petition. The local council are ruining the roads around greenwich to the detriment of the local residents.Chris Carratt (London, 2021-02-07)
#221
I live locally and the closures will direct more traffic onto the road where I live, and cause further congestion on the already congested main roads.Jessica Newland (London, 2021-02-07)
#225
I think this will create significant inconvenience to local residents, and is likely to exacerbate the problem it is designed to address as frustrated drivers sitting in (even heavier) traffic on the main road will race around the residential side streets trying to gain a couple of spots in the traffic queue.Ben Woodside (London, 2021-02-07)
#228
The roads around this area have been messed up enough by different directives. You can’t travel anywhere without getting in a traffic jamAnne Southall (London, 2021-02-07)
#233
I don’t agree with the road closures in the local areaR C (Blackheath, 2021-02-08)
#234
I am opposed to the so-called Low Traffic Neighbourhood schemes as they lead to an increase in congestion, thus pollution, so damage the environment. As Spokesman for the Official Monster Raving Loony Party (Greenwich Branch), we remain steadfastly opposed to the LTNs, and condemn Greenwich Council for exploiting Covid to bypass the "democratic norms" to enforce LTNs on the majority of residents who do not want them.
Trevor Allman (Blackheath, 2021-02-08)
#242
This is just going to cause more traffic on the smaller roads. Not everyones health allows them able to travel by bike or walking, these restrictions never take this into consideration.Amanpreet Samra (London, 2021-02-08)
#246
This is purely another money making scheme. It does not reduce traffic, it just pushes it a different route, making travel impossible, especially for those whose cars are their only travel option.Bella Landen (Blackheath, 2021-02-08)
#248
The complete disaster that TFL has turned Greenwich traffic congestion into should not be allowed to continue. We have traffic at a standstill now pumping out more pollution , whilst ridiculously wide cycle lanes are empty.Beverley Bidewell (London, 2021-02-08)
#250
I'm signing because I want to support Greenwich shops and amenities and don't want to drive more than I have to, (I have mobility difficulties) and think it misplaced to think that pollution is being dealt with by transferring it to the main roads.Margaret Horbacka (London, 2021-02-08)
#251
I’m a local and want to use my car freely in my neighbourhoodhelen wallace (London, 2021-02-08)
#254
I disagree with the proposalSarina Brooks (London, 2021-02-08)
#261
My elderly relatives live here and will feel penned in if this comes in place.Kimberley Gabriel (London, 2021-02-08)
#265
I agree totally with every point. I am enraged by the lack of respect for my opinion as a resident and concerned that my access to my elderly parents the other side of the railway from my house in westcombe park is now compromised.Fiona Greer (London, 2021-02-08)
#266
Moving all traffic to the two main roads is not going to reduce pollution .. just move the location of the source and create worse traffic times for all .. including the busses.Judith Quin (LONDON, 2021-02-08)
#275
This is a ridiculous proposal that will purely cause more congestion and pollution along trafalgar road and beyond in both directions.Charlotte Austen (London, 2021-02-08)
#281
This is the most short sighted proposal. All it will do is jam the roads up and cause more problems for the population of South East London.Diane Izard (Greenwich, 2021-02-08)
#283
It’s not going to help the pollution problem. More cars stuck idling on main road instead of having moving vehicles on many roads. Plus problem will not be resolved only moved to another road.Journey times to get home for me will be ridiculous. I rely on my van to earn me a living as I’m a plumber and gas engineer. The road closures that were implemented in first lockdown never worked, they just cost businesses in loss of earnings as many chose to not shop there. Poorly thought out plan by someone who has never really driven on public roads.
I’d propose you increase tax on the fuel for drivers.
Dean Lewington (London, 2021-02-08)
#285
I disagree with the proposal being presented by the councilLInda Boscic (Greater London, 2021-02-08)
#289
I strongly disagree that shutting yet more roads in Greenwich will improve the traffic situation. Previous closures have simply concentrated traffic with journeys taking longer and pollution in turn increasing.Matthew Dodds (London, 2021-02-08)
#290
More joined up thought needs to go into helping us share the space rather than rules that discriminate. These proposals don’t promote sustainability they lead to inequality.Mark Turner (London, 2021-02-09)

#299
I live in Westcombe Park and completely disagree with proposed plans.Victoria Smith (London, 2021-02-09)
#302
The proposed changes will cut off and destroy local working class families.Frankie McCabe (London, 2021-02-09)
#304
I am disappointed with this ill considered scheme, and the manner in which it is being presented as a 'fait accompli' by the council. Slowly the borough is being divided into two separate halves each with its own road system, North and South. Already inconvenienced by the schools road closure system this is a further example of the loss of amenity imposed on residents by the council.Roger Patenall (Blackheath, 2021-02-09)
#305
The measures are a waste of money, not needed, aimed purely to shield wealthy homes from what is very little traffic in comparison to what the the less wealthy residents are dealing with down on Woolwich road. The plans are unnecessary and utterly elitist and discriminatory.Deborah Doidge (London, 2021-02-09)
#306
I am Head of School at Montessori Education for Autism (MEfA) - known locally as MEfA Montessori. We are located at the intersection of Westcombe Hill and Siebert Road where we have our Main School and Forest School/Wellbeing Garden. We have many autistic and disabled children. We are very worried about our families who arrive by car and may have access issues as many are not Blue Badge holders.Additionally, our children and families with autism face big challenges with changes to their daily/weekly routines, so any alterations to their travel plans can wreak havoc with their lifestyle choices.
Wendy Fidler (Blackheath, 2021-02-09)
#309
Just stop being so stupid and listen to people who need to get to work or just live their lives with a car.Sue Welch (London, 2021-02-09)
#310
I do not want Greenwich council to block all the access roads that run North/South between Woolwich Road and the A2/Blackheath.Roger Hayward (London, 2021-02-09)
#313
I strongly disagree with this.As a resident I have not noticed there is a problem. This change will cause a massive problem.
Jo Mulvihill (London, 2021-02-09)
#315
The scheme will impose restrictions on my every day life, and believe it will clog up the already busy roads.Sophie Hubble (London, 2021-02-09)
#316
Our children have after school clubs at the Forum, Greenwich Music School, Mycenae house and the Plesaence. We live outside the recommended walking distance from school (Halstow) and it will impossible to do school pickup and get to after school clubs or friends who live in the area.Tim Joyce (London, 2021-02-09)
#318
I think the suggested road closures would only cause further bottlenecks on the roads therefore causing congestion, pollution and traffic nightmare.Eerika Omiyale (London, 2021-02-09)
#320
I don’t agree with the proposed plan. It will create more traffic and pollution on Trafalgar road and will drastically increase travel time.Ellen Assad (London, 2021-02-09)
#322
This is a divisive and polarising proposal which will not contribute to a ‘greener Greenwich’Maggie Learmonth (London, 2021-02-09)
#324
I live on Humber Road and it will be worse not better if they put these changes in.Tim Cartwright (Greenwich, 2021-02-09)
#325
This will make my small business in black heath standard suffer , cutting off an already reduced access from Greenwich town . Plus my deliveries to the shielding will become a nightmare. It is like another nail in a retail coffin on the death of high streets .
I am a council tenant for my business and this is a joke if they want me to renew my lease .
Temagin Thompson (Greenwich, 2021-02-09)
#329
It will really effect local people, there are already width restrictions to stop larger vehicles, this is crazy, it will divide blackheath and Greenwich, my parents are elderly and currently rely on food deliveries from Greenwich, they would struggle to get to them, it would add 40 minutes into their journey. I have a nursery in Greenwich and I need to drive from blackheath to Greenwich, the traffic down maze Hill is horrific in the mornings as is the A2, this is so damaging and cause so much traffic on the A2. Simply out ridiculousEve Daniels (London, 2021-02-10)
#331
This whole idea is ridiculous and has not been thought through. If this happens we will be forced out of Greenwich as our road will effectively be cut off, and the traffic on Trafalgar Road, which our house borders, 20 times worse than it currently is. All this hair brain scheme does is move the pollution and make it worse by forcing longer journeys. As a family of four who drive only when necessary you will make our lives impossible.Emma Chapman (London, 2021-02-10)
#333
This has not been thought through and will force traffic onto a single already heavily congested and polluted road in East greenwichThomas Gilbert (LONDON, 2021-02-10)
#335
We do not want the council to block access roads that run North/South from Woolwich Road to A2/Blackheath. They have done this in West Greenwich and it is a nightmare for road users.Helen Ward (London, 2021-02-10)
#339
Traffic would be pushed to outer areas I clouding Vanbrugh Park, where we saw a little girl of 11 years of age get hit by a car last summer. This would increase the risks to those children to unacceptable levels.
Damien Orban (London, 2021-02-10)
#341
The prices of fuel, road tax, congestion charging and ULEZ are going up or being introduced while our roads are being closed. The council’s are pushing the poor and less well-off to open the doors to the rich.Mus Osman (London, 2021-02-10)
#342
I live on Humber road abs this would make my life an absolute nightmare with 3 small children. We’d have to drive miles and miles out of our way each day - using even more petrol, making even more roads congested and costing us more time and money. Stop building so many flats!!Rebecca Fredericks (London, 2021-02-10)
#344
The cycle lanes have destroyed the ease at which one can travel through Greenwich, mainly the timing of ikea and existing restrictions. Enough is enough, locals don’t need the first or last half mile of their journey to take up to an hour.Desmond Forde (London, 2021-02-10)
#346
I agree. The council have sent an outrageous letter without any considerations for local residents. I have a family with two children that go to nursery in Charlton and school at Halstow. Driving is essential in order to get the Children their on time and for me to get to work.If the council were that concerned about the ‘rat runs’ why don’t they introduce electronic barriers that only local resident can access via a swipe card or through recognition number plate.
Horrendously thought through.
ian travis (London, 2021-02-11)
#348
I agree with what has been said. If trying to avoid the rat run, then locally registered cars should be allowed on these cut roads. I have two very young children and during the pandemic when I’m avoiding public transport and working, using a car is a the only feasible way to drop two children off to nursery and preschool in two directionsKethakie Lamahewa (London, 2021-02-11)
#350
The thoughtless council has made it unbearable in this area of Greenwich to move freely!Sarah Bogan (Charlton, 2021-02-11)
#354
I have no choice but to use my car, due to mobility problems. This unnecessary, ill-thought out and ridiculously expensive council scheme foisted on residents without any meaningful consultation will mean my spending far more on petrol, wasting excessive amounts of time getting to places formerly only minutes away, and will increase my contribution to air pollution. I also think the new road layouts are downright dangerous.cherry denison (London, 2021-02-11)
#360
As a Greenwich resident of 15 years I am appalled at the thoughtless changes to the traffic system across the Borough. These changes are massively detrimental to residents, business and the environment and appear to have been approved and implemented by a committee with zero appreciation of the real-world impact of such changes.Peter McHugh (London, 2021-02-12)
#361
I am in total agreement with the sentiments of the petition. The council’s proposals and actions already taken in west Greenwich are discriminatory and will not solve the issues they hope to address. NB I do not own a car.Susan Rouse (London, 2021-02-12)
#362
This scheme will cause unnecessary stress and hardship to residents of East Greenwich with implications for other parts of the borough as traffic gets pushed onto other roads.Matt Nixson (Lonon, 2021-02-12)
#363
This is a very ill thought out idea....Helen Butler (London, 2021-02-12)
#369
This is so wrongAnnette Grist (London, 2021-02-12)
#371
This is not the answer to the problem of congestion and pollution. The problem is just being moved to a different area.Beverley Wilson (London, 2021-02-13)
#375
I live in the affected area and see this a hugely disruptive development with no positive outcomeAdam Newland (London, 2021-02-13)
#382
This is as idiotic as it gets. It will add congestion rather than ease it, making Greenwich less safe and less healthy to live in.Joe Puddifoot (Londkn, 2021-02-17)
#384
These changes will lower the standard of living of the local residents. Making it harder to get to the shops, Sainsburys and through the tunnel. That will add time in cars, likely leading to more pollution and less safe roads elsewhere.John Butler (London, 2021-02-17)
#385
I’m signing because there has been an increase in traffic along Trafalgar/ Woolwich Road, due road closures in West Greenwich and the cycle lane. Further closures will not only increase the traffic, but put extra pressure on residents when trying to get to work and get children to school.Kimberley Jarrett (London, 2021-02-18)
#387
The proposals will not benefit the people living in this area or the surroundings.Dawn Harverson (London, 2021-02-18)
#389
I have breathing problems and it has deteriorated with the road closures already because of the increased pollutionAnesia Dunstan (London, 2021-02-18)
#390
I’m signing this because the I disagree totally with the additional traffic plans for Westcombe hill and maze hill on top of an already disastrous rollout on trafalgar road & surrounding areas.Yvonne Mundow (London, 2021-02-18)
#392
These changes will significantly affect my runs to and from school and cause a massive inconvenience to my daily routine.Leroy Leo (London, 2021-02-18)
#394
This is discriminatory to those who have mobility issues ie me. Blocking Halstow Road will isolate the residents and cause social isolation. It will be difficult to access Blackheath Standard for shopping for individuals who cannot use public transport.Deborah Dorrance (London, 2021-02-19)
#397
i am a council tenant and am against these divisive LTNs which favour the wealthy and better off. I don't a bit of traffic where I live and this plan will make it more difficult for people in Westcombe Park to get about locally. This LTN is also discriminating against people with long term health conditions and disabilities who are being compelled to cycle when they are physically unable to do so. This is anti democratic and fascist.david patrick (London, 2021-02-19)
#400
This will displace too much traffic through Blackheath and Charlton slopes. Then the council will close more road as their answer to the problem. The traffic situation will be even worse when the Blackwall tunnel is shut/lorry stuck or care accident. Pollution will be higherElaine Baptiste (London, 2021-02-20)
