The PSC YMCA is a hub for families in the neighbourhood and has been for decades (actually centuries! I believe next year is it’s 150th anniversary)! We love the people and services it offers and the whole community has been shaken by the announcement of its closure. We love and need our Y in its current building!(Montreal, 2019-11-14)

Our neighbourhood needs this YMCA and its amazing staff in its current (perfect) location! Closing or Moving or Redistributing its services will rob Pointe-St-Charles families of essential programs. We CANNOT let this happen!(Montreal, 2019-11-14)

PSC is the neighborhood of Montreal that needs it the most. For some kids it's their stability and home. This is a insensitive corp move and extremely far from the T's true mission(Montréal, 2019-11-14)

Parce que j’habite le quartier et le ymca est un bon service communautaire pour les familles monoparentales, les jeunes et les aînés. Le quartier en a vraiment besoin.(Montreal, 2019-11-14)

It's important to support families, and the Y programmes have benefited thousand of families. This is not a frill but an essential service for neighborhoods with young families. My grandchildren will be affected along with many others.Does gentrification of a neighborhood mean no social or family oriented services?

Its part of point-saint Charle community(Montréal, 2019-11-14)

They need a YMCA in the Point. I belong to the Y Centre-Ville because the YWCA closed. We are supposed to have a healthy lifestyle but they keep closing exercise facilities. No other gym anywhere compares to the YMCAs.(Lasalle, 2019-11-14)

The YMCA is one of the social pillars of Point St Charles. This is simply wrong. Our new mayor may be able to look into funding needed repairs if that is in fact the issue.(Montreal, 2019-11-15)

The CEO needs to wake up they are keeping all big centres not thinking of little centres and communities in need(Montreal, 2019-11-15)
#328
The PSC YMCA is part of the soul of our neighbourhood and it plays a key role in its social fabric. My kid and his friends also attends the YMCA and we are more then satisfied with the outstanding service he receives. This would be a huge loss for our community.(Montréal, 2019-11-15)

So many reasons to keep this open; a place for kids to gather for sports and activities, help with homework and encouragement in the world, inclusive for seniors and the handicapped, great courses and great instructors. It's loss will have repercussions. Pointe-St-Charles is especially in need of this wonderfully positive community space.(Montreal, 2019-11-15)
#345
We need to keep the YMCA for the children so they have a place to go the YMCA has been there since I was a child I wouldn't want to see it closed so it can be sold 4 condos there's too many condos around here and as part of our heritage everybody in point st. Charles grow up at the YMCA for the boys & girls club as we all knew it and it would be a shame for it not to be there anymore.(Montreal, 2019-11-15)

Quelle triste nouvelle.

My YMCA in the Pointe isn’t just a gym. It is the heart and soul of the community and it carries the history of those who built the community forward. It gives a heart to PSC and it cares!(Montreal, 2019-11-15)
