Return to your core values and abandon this unnecessary promotion of homosexuality or i will not continue my membership with you.

(Reading, 2017-08-09)

#202

The NT should not be a vehicle for sexual politics

(Poole, 2017-08-09)

#203

The reason I am signing this petition is because the NT are entering into the political arena and seeking to promote a view that is not nationally accepted. It should stick to what it does best.

(Kidderminster, 2017-08-09)

#204

As we feel at the moment at my wife and I will not be renewing our subscription. We feel that this is probably the thin end of he wedge and the situation will only become worse, but we shall see.

(ATTLEBOROUGH, 2017-08-09)

#206

As a new member of the National Trust (joined a couple of months ago as a family) I was shocked to hear that the funds and efforts of the charity are being put to an unrelated political cause that is repulsive to many. I didn't sign up to this, and as a member shouldn't be dragged into such a cause.

(LONDON, 2017-08-09)

#210

I'm tired of seeing organisations getting involved in divisive issues that are not related to their core activities.

(Dublin, 2017-08-09)

#211

I'm signing because I feel it was totally wrong to try to enforce your volunteers to wear a badge in support of homosexual values. The National Trust is there to encourage the enjoyment of beautiful houses in beautiful countryside and not to promote a political agenda

(Crowborough, 2017-08-09)

#217

As a life member I am appalled at the use of the NT to prromote LBGT. It was completely unnecessary and self defeating. Promoting any sexual orientation is unnecessary The NT should cater for all. Advocating one section is stupid. We are all equal . Promoting some to prominence is stupid, Not at all what the NT is obligated to do. Don't let yourselves be taken over with an axe to grind.

(drybrook, 2017-08-09)

#221

I am dismayed by this situation and feel deeply for the staff affected.

(keynsham, 2017-08-10)

#222

the practise of homosexuality is sin in the eyes of God

(ORMSKIRK, 2017-08-10)

#223

I want us all to be able to enjoy and appreciate our national heritage, without any other agenda being promoted.

(Bristol, 2017-08-10)

#227

I am a Christian and I feel we as Christians should be able to say NO. without being ridicule, and made to do things that are not part of our faith. No one would force the Muslim community to do things they deemed inappropriate.

(Reading, 2017-08-10)

#234

I'm signing because I and my wife wish the Trust to continue protecting beautiful sites in the UK and keep clear of fiascos like Felbrigg Hall's attempt to make gay politics part of the 'attraction', especially with the visits of young families in mind. You don't have to commemorate EVERY anniversary (such as 1967) just to appear trendy.

(Croydon, 2017-08-10)

#238

The National Trust has moved into a political arena far away from their core values.

(Bristol, 2017-08-10)

#241

I'm signing this petition because I dearly want the National Trust to return to to its core values and I do not want to see any promotion of homosexuality in its properties or estates.

(Bolton, 2017-08-10)

#244

I feel very strongly about this and so does my wife and other members of my family.

(Cheltenham, 2017-08-10)

#248

I feel very strongly that the National Trust is being used to promote activities which are abhorrent to me. I cannot continue to support the National Trust if this is their official policy. I also believe that the National Trust should not reveal confidential details about a benefactor without his/her or their legal representatives permission.

(Bristol, 2017-08-10)

#249

I am dismayed that people being paid good money by the NT start using its resources and good reputation to further their own idealologies and agenda pushing an issue which over 50 % of the population are not in favour of and I am sure the majority of NT members are not what ing to be pushed.

The leaders responsible for this and other recent debacles should take responsibility and resign but I suppose they will hang on until the next gravy train comes along!

Meanwhile we will have to reconsider our own membership to the NT along with the three other family gift memberships that we have been paying for for the last three years!

(Nottingham, 2017-08-11)

#263

Helping out at historic houses is nothing to do with sexuality

(Wolverhampton, 2017-08-11)

#266

I'm signing because I TOTALLY agree that it was a massive mistake for the National Trust to attempt to promote the "LGBT" agenda and "same-sex" marriage. I may well decide even now to cancel my NT membership.

(Framlingham, 2017-08-11)

#268

The national Trusst should stick FIRMLY to what it was set up to do. Any other way is degrading to it and others.

(Bangor Co. Down Northern Ireland, 2017-08-11)

#271

Marriage is only between a man and a woman as stated in Article 12 of the European Convention on Human Rights.

(CARRICKFERGUS, 2017-08-11)

#274

To force staff members to promote homosexuality by wearing these badges is an infringement on their democratic right to hold political/moral views of their own choice.

(Cardiff, 2017-08-11)

#279

I do not want money that I have given to the National Trust given to any gay rights association. They should not be a charity which has money donated to it as it only promotes a particular way of thinking which I believe is wrong. I do not want my grandchildren indoctrinated by gay rights people. They say thet they have rights but, if that is the case, then the rest of us do as well. We have the right not to have gayness thrust in our faces including members of the Mational Trust promoting the organisation by wearing badges.

(Cardiff, 2017-08-11)

#280

I'm a member of the National Trust & also a Christian & believe that they were wrong to expect their staff to wear rainbow badges in support of homosexuality & tried to say the founder of the National Trust was homosexual.

(Arbroath, 2017-08-12)

#281

because I do not believe anyone should be force to display any thing that they do not believe in, or for national companies to get involve in political or religious sensitive issues .I always belied the national trust was funded for the use of everyone no matter what gender they are. how do they expect people to leave anything in their will or give anything to the trust if it carries on with favouring different things they may not believe in.

(Tavistock, 2017-08-12)

#282

I am signing to urge the National Trust to return to its core business of protecting the nation's heritage and open spaces for everyone to enjoy and to have nothing more to do with spurious campaigns of virtue signalling or social engineering. Fr. Francis Maple

(Holywell, 2017-08-12)

#283

People who join the National Trust want to see British heritage, not to be confronted with prohomosexual propaganda. The vast majority believe in heterosexual marriage as being right and best.

(Menai Bridge, 2017-08-12)

#285

The NT has gone wildly off course! We have been members for 20 years, proud of its work in preserving land and buildings in the UK.
Keep it that way please!

(BATH BA2 5BL, 2017-08-12)

#287

Do we live in a free country.
Do volunteers have a free vote?
What is the basic purpose of the NT?

(croydon, 2017-08-12)

#289

From the beginning this yearl's National Trust book along with the tabloid sized newspaper I noticed there was an LGBT agenda and spoke with other members about it.
We don't need this constantly pushed in our faces. We treat these people just as we would others but your repeated push to make us think the majority belongs to LGBT etc is having the adverse affect .Stick to your remit of preserving that which is part of our great history and don't try to control our minds in some kind of behavioural engineering programme.

(Kingswinford, 2017-08-12)

#292

The National Trust has no right whatsoever to support or pressure ideological position of any government on the nation. STICK TO WHAT YOU DO BEST.

(billinge, 2017-08-13)

#294

We feel distinctly uneasy that mainstream society is losing its common-sense and that the Natiinal Trust is following the latest fashion in Political Correctness and not remaining true to its core and well-publicised core values

(Benfleet, 2017-08-13)

#295

National trust - I want to have a - Jesus loves you
for all staff because if you support lesbian and gay, why cant you support our local church too?

(Livingston, 2017-08-13)

#297

I am amazed that NT would humiliate it's volunteers who did not want to endorse a social ideology - will they force everyone (sorry hide them away from the public) who refuses or simply does not want to wear a yellow star, the symbol of communism or Islam or crosses. Shameful decision - I certainly considered cancelling my membership.

(hatfield, 2017-08-14)

#299

I am tired and fed up with the persistent and continual promotion of the LGBT agenda. These guys are manipulative and unashamedly biased in their own favour without a thought as to how their agenda is utterly offensive to others.

(Liverpool, 2017-08-14)

#302

I am sick of being "represented" by politically correct quangocrats like Helen Ghosh. Thank God she is going. No more like her please.

(Whitley Bay, 2017-08-14)

#303

The NT should not be politicising their core role. Hopefully this will be a lesson learned.

(Rugby, 2017-08-14)

#310

It is not the remit of the NT to promote the gay, homosexual, transgender elements in society. Some find it offensive others accept it. However it has nothing to do with the NT remit of protecting the nation's heritage. Leave the PC campaigns to those who have a cause to pursue and get back to what your membership requires.....not promoting Pc agenda. And stop wasting membership funds!!!

(Calne, 2017-08-18)

#314

I'm very saddened that the National Trust should attempt to press volunteers into actions they are unhappy with, especially when those actions are unrelated to their role as volunteers.

(Reading, 2017-08-20)

#315

i dont believe these people should have to wear any sort of badge we are a free country aren't we

(Stoke-on-Trent, 2017-08-21)

#320

There is no place for cultural Marxism and moral relativism in a sane and just and healthy society.

(Stranraer, 2017-09-12)

#322

No one living in the UK should be coerced into promoting things which are against their personal values, especially when they are volunteering and helping out their local communities. The NT should be championing our heritage of freedom in Britain, without which we cannot enjoy our physical heritage properly.

(Bristol, 2017-09-30)

#323

I'm fed up with the elitist leaders of the national trust useing it for PC correct messaging.

(Ramsgate, 2020-09-18)

#329

get rid of these " out of touch, bourgeois elite" parker and Mcready

(swannington, 2020-11-13)

#336

I am appalled by the current management who are bringing politics into the NT with their woke agenda. They are trying to make us feel guilty about our past. I am reconsidering if I want to renew my. Membership.

(Stockport, 2021-03-25)

#339

I believe we should be proud of our history snd not putting ourselves down all the time.

(Birkenhead, 2021-04-05)

#340

I disagree with woke nature of Trust

(Truro, 2021-04-11)

#341

I am appalled at the woke creatures invading our wonderful trust properties. They must be removed and replaced with the intelligent structure we know and respected.

(High wycombe, 2021-05-22)

#342

I joined The National Trust to help preserve the properties. I want to see The National Trust go back to what it was and Should be - to preserve the properties and history not about what the families do or did in the past connected to slavery or homosexuality.

The volunteers should not be sent for training in diversity. Nor should they be forced to wear LGBT badges if they do not wish to do so.
They are VOLUNTEERS and as such should have the choice.

The National Trust would not be able operate without it's volunteers should the vast majority resign over these issues.

Sadly if this continues, I will not be renewing my membership this year.

(Southampton, 2021-05-23)

#343

I'm signing because the leadership of the National Trust is no longer to be trusted with our heritage.

(Trowbridge, 2021-05-23)
