I don't want to see any violence happened in public area. I would like to have a safe city and country.

We express outrage at the deteriorating safety and security environment in New Zealand. We deeply regret the inaction of the judiciary and police. We hope that the law can uphold the dignity of ordinary people.

My daughter takes bus from/to school too. I can't imagine this may happen to her some day if we don't do anything now.

Public transportation safety is the most basic requirement. Don't let teenagers lose faith in the government, as it is detrimental to the country's development.

I am deeply sorry about what has happened to you, as a mum of two I feel the pains your mum has at the moment. The driver's behavior was absolutely disgusting and I strongly hope AT reconsiders his suitability for the job following his outrageous behaviour. We hope the criminal will be held accountable and justice is served for her actions. At last, Jason, I hope you stay strong and have a fully recovery, you have all the support from the New Zealand community.

I am signing this because there is absolutely no place for racism in Aotearoa. Everyone should be treated equally and respectfully regardless of ethnicities. Aotearoa New Zealand is a place where we call home, and I and many others would like to feel safe and secured in our home. This brutal attack on the teenager by this racist lady should not be tolerated and the attacker must pay for her consequences. This is not an isolated incident and the hate crimes are on the rise. This incident should ring a bell to all Kiwis and should remind us what our Kiwi values are about: Inclusiveness, Diversity, Together for better and Prosperity. I am a proud Chinese Kiwi and I support the creation of laws that forbid dangerous weapons to be brought onto public transport. It is also very disappointing to see inaction of the Auckland Transport and I would also like to call for further investigations on this racist brutal attack.

1)Why has AT remained silent to such a serious criminal offence? It can be easily identified what happened that day through camera.
2) I don’t blame on all other passengers it’s their own right to help or not considering their own safety at that time. My respect and salute to Mr. Zhang who was the only one responding and fighting for crime. Driver should hold to account - this has indicated AT has big training gap to drivers.
3) That attacker should be put jail immediately.

Nothing is more important than keeping every resident from this kind of unreasonable violent attack. The council and AT really need to do something.

I would like to express my deepest sympathies to the victim and his family!! ❤️

This petition must be done to make the new laws or regulations changing happening and finally will take in effect to protect more people who may use the public transports in NZ, in the future.

May God’s love cure the trauma caused by this tragedy and May God’s mercy be with the victim and his family and May God look after all the family’s needs. I pray in the precious name of Jesus Christ, Amen!!

Take care and all the very best for everything! 💐
