I'm a type 1 diabetic and not only is finger pricking a bit sore it can lead to warts on the tips of fingers which means you can't use that finger to check so you have less fingers to use, it would also be very handy doing nighttime checks on children meaning you wouldn't have to wake the child unless their blood sugar was low/high, also it is very costly not a lot of family's can afford to pay €120 a month for this very much needed device.

My son has type 1 and he shouldn't have the additional pain of pricking his fingers. Libre stops highs and lows by seeing which way the blood levels are going and acting on that before a high or low happens. This would save the health system lots of money by not having to deal with people with Dka, highs and lows.
