Save Godshill Primary school

Our school is in danger of being shut down by our Isle of Wight Council. Godshill Primary school is based in the beautiful village of Godshill. Godshill primary is very lucky to be based in a grade l l listed building dating back to the 1800's when the school was rebuilt by Lord Yarborough. There has been a school in Godshill since 1615, which was set up by Lady Ann Worsley.

Godshill is a flourishing school with the most wonderful teachers and staff. With a recent good oftsed report held on 21st November 2023 and sporting awards, which staff have worked so hard to achieve to provide the highest of standards to the childrens education. A new play area has recently been added to the school which was paid for by F.R.O.G.S (Friends of Godshill School) who work so hard fundraising throughout, holding Discos, summer fayres, cake sales, aswell as receiving donations from outside local businesses and from parents/families.

Godshill Primary Schools values are to create a positive, inclusive, stimulating and accessible environment in which everyone feels valued, happy and can strive to become successful learners.

We simply cannot allow the school to close down. Alongside this the council wish to shut down other neighbouring schools within the area. Where do they expect all of the children to go if Godshill is to close?

Please sign and ask your friends and family to sign, to help save our school!
