Reinstate basketball court in Culloden

Before the start of the flood prevention works in the field at Culloden there was a basketball hoop there. As a resident of Culloden I would pass it every day and it would be in use. Both adults and children made use of it daily.

The hoop was removed when work started and I made enquiries as to whether it would be reinstated, I was assured it was in the design plans.  I have now been told it was missed out of the plans and there are no intentions of putting one there. 

This is a really important resource, especially just now when kids have been in lockdown for so long. This would not only help with their basketball skills locally but also promotes health and wellbeing in our young people.  Not to mention all the children in the future who will be able to use it. 

Please show your support and sign the petition to have a court installed in the field. There is a lot of provision for football and money spent on that but not everyone wants to play football. 

I have been told that if enough interest is shown they will look to do this. Please share with anyone you may think would be interested in this development.
