I visited the Hampstead Everyman in London last weekend, and have been visiting the cinema for nearly 50 years! Over time it has changed and modernised, but it is still a place where one can be guaranteed to find quality and diverse film programming - unlike the ever increasing number of cinematic chains where one can Vue only the latest blockbuster films (in greater comfort maybe).
I welcome the idea of having an Everyman Picture House in Bristol. If the price of reviving the Picture House is extensive internal redevelopment (even including some flats) - so be it - with the proviso that the external building structure and as many historial key features as possible remain intact.
