#726 floods and drugs for old people2014-02-18 09:30if the people in the flood areas think they are going to get any money out of cameron or clegg they want to think again, now we are going to let old people die because we have no money for drugs, but the posh boys in charge will still get there free treatment. one good thing we can still aford to give 11 billion pounds to other countries to waste while we bury our old people |

#7272014-02-18 09:31It's about time the politicians in this country stopped arguing like children and did something positive about our flood defences. We should not be sending billions of pounds overseas to be lining the pockets of other politicians and give priority to our own people who have put the money there in the first place. |

#7282014-02-18 09:38Too much money is wasted overseas in so called aid. Too much money ends up in Swiss banks. |

#7292014-02-18 09:41Charity begins at home, we should look after our own people first, then help others. |

#7302014-02-18 09:59UK taxpayers money should be spent on UK disasters. We would have already dispensed £millions if this had happened abroad. It sometimes seems as though another country's space race or luxury homes and jets for country leaders are more important than the help needed for disaster victims, NHS users, the elderly etc at home in the UK |

#7322014-02-18 10:21The Government have totally lost site of the meaning of Charity, and those that subscribe to it. The money being sent abroad is from the residents of the UK. They should be being supported in their hour of need. After all when this crisis is over, this and subsequent Governments are going to be asking them for monies to send abroad. It isn't unreasonable to presume they will collectively refuse to give anything. |

#7352014-02-18 10:49The saying charity begins at home.Look back to 1953 floods at Canvey Island, look how the government then, got the military involved, they was put into action within days. What a difference.lucky this country is not being threatened by war,how long then it would take to mobiles the military. |

#7382014-02-18 11:18I fully support the intention of the petition in ceasing the ridiculous waste of taxpayers money on maladministered overseas aid when so much is required in this country |

#7412014-02-18 11:56Brilliant petition. Charity should begin at home, lets sort out our problems before sending money to foreign despots to swell their personal bank accounts. |

#7452014-02-18 12:16The British public are fed up of the government giving money to other countries when we need help in own country, not just for the floods, but NHS, looking after the elderly, keeping our libraries open, facilities for disabled people. This country is going to the dogs, we are becoming a laughing stock abroad. While we are giveing our money away to the likes of India, China, they will take it, thinking to themselves WHY LOOK A GIFT HORSE IN THE MOUTH. We were once a great country, not any more. |

#7472014-02-18 12:30This government do not live in the real world, none of them have had to struggle to exist on low wages, poor housing, it is our own fault, we voted them in and now it is time to vote them OUT. They are a waste of space, spend their time looking and thinking up useless projects to distract us from the big issues and problems we face, Need to start listening to the people who voted them into power, get real Cameron, charity begins at HOME!!! Where are the millions coming from promised to sort out the flooding, is it going to be borrowed?. |

#7502014-02-18 12:43Stop giving taxpayer's money/foreign aid to ridiculous causes, and to countries which have the ability and money to help their own. |
