Save teddy from being put down

what is with you people. you think this dog is mean. I don't think so . I have had dogs all my life. and I am well over 70. Just look at the animal. that's not even a pit bull.

I am a huge animal lover and have had at different times many full blooded American Staffordshire terriers, mixed pit bull/shepherds and dogs of questionable breeds for over 30 years without any incidents of biting or bad behavior. My children and their friends have played with our furry friends safely. They are loving, gentle and loyal family members. They do indeed make great "nurses" when illness strikes. To the powers that be, please spare this dog and change the law that would take his life. Bette Crowther

Teddy looks identical to my dog Emma. She was a rescue and the best dog I have ever had the honor of taking care of. She is short hair border collie, lab, boxer mix with a touch of pit. They might want to do a DNA test. I think it would solve the problem.

With so much evil behavior in this world, why would you add to it by killing an innocent, loving animal?

This is a ludicrous law and should be banned. No dog should taken from their home to be locked in a cage when they have done NOTHING wrong!!! Save TEDDY!!!!!

Why would you put an innocent dog down, that may be the light in someone's life?

I personally do not believe in breed banning. Each dog should be judged on its merits.

A dog who has never bitten anyone !
Yet there are people who have done worse crimes and are let out of jail only to commit another crime.
Help save a family member, they are not just a dogs they are family !

I believe the decision is wrong the dog has been with the family even when the little girl was born and now she is 4 years old and the dog hasn't done nothing wrong. I believe the person who wants the dog put down should be the one put down. I guess he hasn't had a dog and now he wants to hurt the little girl.

NO creature of God should be put to death because of a 'breed' problem...There's NO problem with the breed,it's the OWNERS who're supposed to be responsible...Singling out any animal and putting them down after living in a loving home with family is sickening..DON'T KILL A BELOVED FAMILY MEMBER!

This is a very misunderstood breed. If people would do there homework and not be so ignorant and stupid they would see that these breeds are as gentle as the next breed, it is all in the upbringing. Give this dog back to his family NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Because putting a dog down because of what breed he is, has to be one of the most horrible things I can imagine. Even if he is a pitt bull, they are called nanny dogs because they are very protective and loving of their family especially the kids. It seems to me that someone needs to use some common sense here! UK!!!

Certain laws need to be re evaluated. Hope this story has a good outcome for the dog.

This is just wrong in all ways! Our pets are unable to speak for themselves and the laws should be created by the people for the people to protect the people and their rightful ownership of a pet. If the pet proves to be a biter then that is another thing. This pet has not created any reason for being incarcerated like a prisoner. Free this loving, peaceful pet !!!!!!!!!!!

I believe that every life matters. Teddy may not be human but he has feelings just like people do. He has proven to be a good and loyal pet and member of the family. Just because he looks like a pit bull doesn't mean that he is one. There are a lot of animals who have been mistaken for pitbulls and wrongly put down or have been taken away from their owners because of that. Please let them keep Teddy and don't destroy him just because of his looks. He deserves a chance at life just like you and I do.

Teddy has never done anything to indicate he is aggressive. Studies prove that BSL is BS. There are other breeds, including small breeds, that are far more likely to bite that larger pets.

the man who has deemed Teddy a Pit has never seen one. Everything about Teddy says Terrier Mix, the coloring, the build, the head and jaw all say NOT a Pit Bull.
Even if he were, this judge seems to forget that in Britain, less than 100 years ago, Pit Bulls were called Nanny Dogs because of their gentle nature and love for kids.They were used to watch over children playing in the yard. The RCA Victor dog was a Pit. The Our Gang dog was a Pit. The Buster Brown shoe dog was a Pit.
Teddy has been with this family since he was 11 weeks old. He has been treated with love and thus gives love back. Dogs are Pack animals and Teddy has his little Pack. The child is clearly attached to him and Teddy is clearly attached to her. By killing Teddy, who has no history of behavior that indicates in any way he would harm anyone, and ignoring the reports by professionals that say he is not dangerous, the person who has decided to murder a sweet, loving pet is proving only that he is biased and unwilling to consider the impact of his decision on this child. I ask you to reconsider. I understand you may think you are being cautious and protecting a child by killing her pet. You are not. You are teaching her that Adults in power can not be trusted, that they hurt people and pets, they are not willing to be fair.
Take a moment to Google a picture of a Pit Bull. Look at the build and color. Read their history. Don't judge this sweet boy by those poor animals that are abused and taught to be fighters. Take time to meet Teddy, to play with him. Please do not murder another innocent pet
The World remembers Patrick, another pet wrongfully and illegally taken ftom his family and Murdered, in spite of DNA tests that proved he was not a Pit. Patrick was a Therapy Dog for a young girl. His murder caused harm to her snd to the UK.
Please don't create another World wide scandal by murdering Teddy, an innocent pet, without justification.

Teddy is not a pit bull. He seems like a loving pet. What is wrong with the court system DO NOT put this precious pup down. Dammit then agree to the muzzle in public. Im sure the family is agreeable. How can you do this to this poor beautiful loving dog, OMG brought tears to my eye, SAVE TEDDY return Teddy to his distraught family

I rescue dogs - Pitties get a very bad rap - undeserved - not fair.

This poor puppy, "Teddy", has lived with this family since he was very young and not once has he hurt anyone, including the little girl. I think he needs to be returned to his loving family.

We have two dogs, three kids, and three grandchildren, and have had three other dogs

it is insane that this even happened you can tell that teddy is an amazing dog. im so sorry your family has to go through this especially the little girl who seems to really love her dog. i hope it all works out in your favor.

I don't agree with killing a dog because of it's breed, if it's owner is responsible I can't see it being a greater risk than the potential in other dogs
