No he shouldnt be put down, he may have been in a zoo, but he will always be a "wild" animal you cannot blame the tiger for the death of the keeper. Very sad she was killed but i dont feel that "oz" is to blame for her death. Dont euthnaze him.

I feel for the family of the woman who died and I feel that putting down the tiger will not help her family or protect anyone else from the tiger in future if he is kept safely.

Unless the tiger (Oz) is found to be ill, we have to acknowledge that although this is a terrible tragedy for the keeper, her family and friends and the zoo, this tiger was acting as tigers are expected to. Maybe a rethink about enclosures and safety would be more appropriate than even suggesting euthanising this animal. It's extremely sad and I pass on my prayers and thoughts for all directly involved.

I signed this petition because it's definitely not Oz's fault. It's a tigers natural behaviour so they can't just put him down like that, it's murder and he doesn't know any better than to behave the natural way for tigers. Yes the tiger 'should've' been tamed but any animal in the zoo can snap at anytime because they are and have been trapped in an enclosure which is not their natural habitat which could also be a reason why he snapped.

If the reporting is correct - i.e. no keepers are ever allowed in with the tigers - the fact that the keeper was attacked means that she was in with them, for whatever reason, therefore I can't comprehend how it could even be considered to put Oz down. That would be he same as killing a shark for being a shark and attacking a swimmer while living in the ocean which is it's home. Simple to me.

This beautiful wild animal deserves to live. Don't know the circumstances. A tragic accident I am thinking. Perhaps zoo policies need to b updated. So sorry for the loss of this lovely lady to her family and friends.

We human put wild animal in a zoo, but we need to make sure all the the staff are safe at all times, no staff member should be alone with any of these animals. I feel for both staff and animals, at this sad time.
