Change Legislation to Deny Parole for Rapists and Murderers

InShot_20240906_203217688.jpgWe, the undersigned, are calling on the government to take decisive action and change the legislation to ensure that no convicted rapist or murderer is ever eligible for parole. This petition is inspired by the tragic case of Daniel Jamneck, whose murder case has now been moved to the High Court, with the pre-trial set for 29 November 2024.

We believe that individuals who commit such heinous crimes should face the full extent of their sentence without the possibility of early release. The safety of our communities, especially women and children, depends on strong legal measures that send a clear message: there will be no leniency for those who commit violent crimes.

We urge the government to amend the laws to protect the vulnerable and ensure that justice is served fully.
