UKCPM Abuse of Car Park Enforcement at Erith Park

Residents of Rosemary and Spurrell Court, Furners Close, Erith, DA8 3FA and all of the blocks of flats that make up Erith Park have found themselves the recipient of Parking Charge Notices in cases whereby a valid permit exists, either...

* A valid e-permit being ignored and a PCN issued for failing to display a permit on the dashboard

*UKCPM failing to act upon updating information being provided to them in advance in cases whereby

* Residents purchase a new car

* Residents have been provided with a temporary hire car in matters whereby the registered car is being repaired.

In all of these cases, despite the information being provided in advance, and all other parking terms where adhered to, there have been over 11 fines issued in relation to the above examples.

However, when UKCPM is presented with the evidence to establish that fines were issued in error, all appeals have failed and UKCPM continue to enforce recovery of sums owed.

When Orbit are informed of this, they refuse to intervene and refer residents back to UKCPM. Despite the fact that Orbit claim a weekly service charge for all residents and apply these funds to manage the communal spaces, either themselves or via subcontractor, to maintain the resident's interest. Orbit contracted UKCPM, it is therefore unacceptable that they continually ignore the issues.

UKCPM were charged with the responsibility of monitoring the car park provided in Furners Close and the parking provided under both blocks, to ensure that those who do not have the right to park there, face a fine, so that the residents are able to park, as they are entitled.

It is clear that UKCPM's only objective is the indiscriminate issuing and enforcement for their own financial gain.

If the residents unite to oppose UKCPM's abuse of power, maybe, our joint voices will be heard.
